Survive Your Family

Four prominent families embark on a challenging adventure in the pristine Colombian jungle. Ronald de Boer travels with his daughters, Demi and Maxime, accompanied by his nephew Bowey. Frank Masmeijer enters the rugged terrain with his daughters Charlotte and Michelle, and his son-in-law Stijn. Shortly after arrival, the families are split up: two family members trek deep into the jungle for an intensive trek, while the others stay behind at the base camp to contribute to the joint survival project. This dynamic immediately creates tension and strategy within the adventure.

The first night in the jungle takes an immediate toll, and fatigue sets in. At base camp, a game determines how full the supply chests become. In the jungle, Jerr from Broederliefde reaches his physical and mental limits. Glory van Dorsten shares what it is like to have slept in a library for years.

The adventure erupts with unexpected twists and intense emotions. Jerr from Broederliefde is being closely monitored by the medical team, further heightening the tension. Meanwhile, the Masmeijer sisters make their way through the dense, mysterious jungle in pitch darkness, determined to reach their goal. At base camp, the temperature rises as old tensions flare up again and the battle for survival and dominance intensifies. Amidst this chaos, Frank Masmeijer opens up about the impact of his conviction and the difficult time in prison, revealing how these experiences have affected his family. It is a story full of struggle, perseverance, and human vulnerability.

Conditions in the jungle are becoming increasingly unforgiving, while physical ailments pile up rapidly. Demi de Boer falls ill and must face both physical and emotional challenges. Later, she confides in Art about how complex and difficult her relationship with her father, Ronald, has been for a long time. Meanwhile, new duos enter the inhospitable territory, where every decision at the base camp carries direct and far-reaching consequences.

An unexpected twist puts the rankings to the test: not physical strength, but strategic insight proves to be the deciding factor. In the jungle, Emms becomes visibly fatigued, raising the question of whether he can retain his position or must make way for a replacement. The first substitution takes place for Van Dorsten, immediately leading to shifts in the dynamics between the participants. Meanwhile, interactions at the base camp create increasing tension and emotion, while Glory carefully prepares for his entry into the demanding jungle.

As the final draws closer, the battle flares up with full intensity. The tension is palpable among the jungle duos, with two teams seriously considering switching compositions. At the base camp, a carefully orchestrated game offers an impressive glimpse into the pristine splendor and multifaceted beauty of the jungle. As the participants reconsider their strategies, the natural spectacle forms an enchanting backdrop that further heightens the intensity of the competition.

When the basecamp duos face off, ruthless choices are made that drive the tension to a climax. Deep in the jungle, personal letters strike a sensitive chord, causing emotions to run high and the participants to fight for the fastest time more determined than ever. But then, when no one expects it, the game takes a complete turn. The dynamics shift, alliances waver, and suddenly no one is playing it safe anymore. Every step is a gamble, and the adventure becomes more intense than ever before.

The moment of the grand finale has arrived. With established leads and strategic blockades, the duos embark on a crucial and challenging journey through the pristine jungle. The route takes them on foot through dense paths, by canoe along winding rivers, and at high speed by quad bike over rugged terrain. Meanwhile, at the base camp, family plays a central role: touching letters and precious photos of loved ones influence not only the emotions but also the further course of the battle. The combination of physical trials and emotional moments makes this finale an intense and unforgettable conclusion.
