Bake Off: The Professionals

The search for the best patisserie team in Britain is back! The teams take on Paris Brest with a twist and childhood toy showpieces concealing crumble and custard desserts.

The teams create 24 classic Battenberg cakes and 24 re-invented ones, and a Shakespeare-inspired theatrical scene. Whose chance to progress is not to be?

The teams create savoury laminated tarts and cream buns, and build modern landmark showpieces out of biscuit. Who'll collapse under the pressure and be saying au revoir?

Six new teams take on citrus tarts and childhood-inspired chocolate fudgey showpieces. Whose gooey fudge will impress a judge, and whose tart will fall apart?

The teams make classic Bakewell slices and daring re-imagined ones, and take on a jam roly-poly showpiece. Who can Bakewell enough, and whose showpiece will be the judges' jam?

The teams make savoury mille-feuille, babka buns and biscuit showpieces adorned with petit gâteaux. Who rises to the challenge and whose time in the competition will crumble away?

The final six celebrate autumn, spotlight trending ingredients and build an entire 'World of Candy' complete with pâtisserie pick 'n' mix. Who'll get a taste of sweet success?

It's the quarter-final and the teams make afternoon teas and gravity-defying piñatas. Whose chance to progress has been and scone, and who'll smash the second challenge?

The semi-finalists create classic île flottante and summer holiday showpieces. Who'll be floating on cloud nine, and who'll be on the next flight home?

The three remaining teams face off one last time in a bid for this year's title - and judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden don't make things easy by setting them a marathon 12-hour challenge to prepare a banquet for a masquerade ball. However, at the halfway point the hopefuls present two of their desserts to the judges for tasting - at which point one team is sent home on the spot, leaving the other two going head to head for the title.
