Eun Hyuk doesn't know what to do with Chun Young and Ha Young about where he and Ha Young will live after getting married. Meanwhile, Sun Woo gives Eun Sung a congratulatory event for her movie debut.
Sun Woo suffers as he watches Eun Sung, who had tried to save him, in a coma. Eun Sung's family rushes to the hospital at the tragic news and falls to their knees in torment when they see her. Meanwhile, Jung Ae and Sun Ju, who had witnessed the accident, are also full of anxiety and concern.
After reading Eun Sung's delayed text message, Sun Woo sobs by her side as her condition suddenly deteriorates. Meanwhile, Jung Ae and Ki Seok visit Eun Sung at the hospital after worrying about how she severely injured herself by saving Sun Woo, and Dong Gu and Chun Young decide to let Eun Sung be in love with Sun Woo.
Eun Sung regains consciousness, bringing immense joy to Sun Woo. Having experienced the fear of almost losing each other, they express their love freely. Meanwhile, Jung Ae learns of Sun Woo's awareness of their non-biological relationship and wants to have a conversation with him.
After careful thought, Jung Ae wholeheartedly gives her blessing to Sun Woo and Eun Sung's marriage. Simultaneously, Eun Sung's family, alongside Sun Woo and Ha Young, come together to celebrate Eun Sung's recuperation. Meanwhile, Dal Yong and Jin Sil express apprehension about the forthcoming arrangements concerning Ha Young's baby.
Chun Young and Dal Yong's differing opinions on Eun Hyuk and Ha Young's post-marriage residence put Jung Ae in a difficult position. She also has her own ideas on the matter. Eventually, Eun Hyuk and Ha Young feel compelled to go along with Jung Ae's suggestion of living independently on their own.
With Sun Woo's proposal, the two families meet together and agree on having a wonderful joint wedding, except for Jung Ae. However, the two couples, Sun Woo with Eun Sung and Eun Hyuk with Ha Young, get excited about their futures. Meanwhile, Sun Woo and Eun Hyuk formally propose marriage to Eun Sung and Ha Young.
Eun Sung tells Sun Woo's parents that she will live with them after getting married, and Ha Young agrees to live in Eun Hyuk's room after the wedding until the apartment they want to move into becomes available. Meanwhile, Eun Sung and Ha Young try on wedding dresses in a battle of nerves that ricochets onto Sun Woo and Eun Hyuk, driving them mad.
As the two couples walk down the aisle, solidifying their commitment to a lifetime of happiness together, tensions linger between the parents of the bride and groom, casting a shadow over the wedding hall. Meanwhile, Jung Ae experiences a strange sensation as she observes Eun Sung and Je Ha engrossed in conversation. Just before the bride's entrance, Eun Sung suddenly vanishes.
As Hye Yoon watches Ga Ram play at a playground from a distance, she receives a disturbing call from Do Chul. He threatens to reveal all of her secrets to Min Guk in a menacing manner that deeply upsets her. Meanwhile, Sun Woo and Eun Sung have returned home from their honeymoon to Eun Sung's house, where everything now feels new and unfamiliar for her.
Min Guk falls into deep shock after hearing that Ga Ram isn't his biological child. Hye Yoon tells him the truth from six years ago and that she will take care of Ga Ram if he can't accept Ga Ram. Meanwhile, Jung Ae rebukes Eun Sung as her daughter-in-law about the first family dinner for no apparent reason.
After learning that Ga Ram isn't Min Guk's son, Jin Sil interrogates Min Guk for answers and then sobs in agony. Jung Ae sits Eun Sung and Sun Woo down, already disgruntled about them returning home late, and pressures them about having a baby. However, Sun Woo firmly resists Jung Ae's wishes, which irritates her even more.
After seeing Je Ha dropping Eun Sung off in front of the house, Jung Ae warns Eun Sung to act accordingly. Meanwhile, Ga Ram senses something wrong with Jin Sil and makes a heart-rending plea to her. Later, Jin Sil meets Hye Yoon regarding Ga Ram.
Regardless of its veracity, Jung Ae experiences a sense of shame due to the media's portrayal of an unfavorable incident involving Eun Sung, leading her to harbor minimal trust in Eun Sung. Matters escalate when Sun Woo supports Eun Sung, leaving Jung Ae disappointed. Feeling compelled to resolve Eun Sung's predicament, Sun Woo steps out of the house, taking Eun Sung with him.
Sun Woo, in a fit of anger, vows to move out with Eun Sung if Jung Ae continues to show displeasure at her presence at home, especially after witnessing Dong Gu and Jung Ae argue about Eun Sung. Meanwhile, Sun Ju decides it's time to let go of her feelings for Min Guk, a decision that weighs heavily on her heart. Ha Young and Eun Hyuk visit Jung Ae's house, and Jung Ae scolds Eun Sung for not bringing the right tea for Ha Young.
After receiving her diagnosis, Chun Young is taken aback to realize that her sole chance for treatment rests on a transplant. Dong Gu reassures Chun Young that things will work out, and they agree it's best to inform their children about the illness. Without hesitation, all three children and Dong Gu opt to undergo transplant screening tests.
Everyone in Eun Sung's family becomes devastated when they all get a negative match to be Chun Young's liver donor. Sun Woo says he will also get tested to be the donor, but Jung Ae forbids it. Meanwhile, Jung Ae meets with Tto Soon's mom, the lady who had spread rumors of Dong Gu's affair 30 years ago.
Jung Ae apologizes to Dong Gu and Chun Young after learning the truth from Tto Soon's mother about what she said to her 30 years ago regarding Dong Gu's affair with Chun Young. Eventually, Chun Young and Jung Ae clear up the past and reconcile before heading into the operation room.
