Tehran, today. Shadi is 17 years old. In life, Shadi loves listening to music at the bottom of the blocks with her best friend Ferial. But soon, she has to move to France, far from everything she has always known. Shadi starts to ask herself questions: is immigration really what she wants? To find out, she will embark on a journey to discover Iran.

Shadi has been in France for six months when she meets Arezou, who turns her life upside down.

Shadi goes to Arezou’s boyfriend’s party where she doesn’t quite fit in, until the music gets going.

Shadi is late for class, and her teacher is not feeling lenient. Later on, an incident with Arezou causes some tension between them.

Shadi and Arezou want to celebrate Iranian New Year, but have to be secretive about it.

After leaving the hostel, Shadi goes to look for a new sofa bed, which leads to some unexpected events.

At the Nowruz meal, Shadi meets Faramarz, Arezou's father. The friendly atmosphere goes cold as the conversation turns to Iranian politics.

With nowhere to go, Shadi walks around town with her suitcase and meets up with Jordan at Nader’s concert.

After sleeping rough overnight, Shadi goes to the all important visit of the apartment.

Shadi is having a house-warming party in her new flat with Arezou, Nader, Jordan and Charlotte. When the time comes to leave, she looks for an excuse to convince Jordan to stay a little longer...
