Ibrahim El-Tayer is released from prison for good behavior and tries to find an honest job. Meanwhile, writer Hussein Raafat struggles with his life alongside his dissatisfied wife, Sawsan, who plots to get rid of him so she can marry another wealthy man. Ibrahim is offered a deal to smuggle a large sum of money out of Egypt.
Ibrahim El-Tayer decides to keep the smuggled money for himself and hides it in a secret location. He bribes his psychiatrist to have himself admitted to a mental hospital temporarily, where he meets Hussein Raafat.
Rashwan tries to find a way to recover the money stolen by Ibrahim El-Tayer. A reward of 5,000 pounds is offered to anyone who reveals Ibrahim's whereabouts. The gang also attempts to frame Ibrahim for murder to make it easier to track him down.
Dr. Fadali, the only person who knows Ibrahim El-Tayer's true identity, dies in a plane crash, leaving Ibrahim trapped in the hospital indefinitely. Ibrahim and Hussein decide to escape from the hospital.
Ibrahim and Hussein end up in a burned barley field in a remote village. They extinguish the fire after El-Zoghbi attempts to set the field ablaze. Ibrahim considers staying with the villagers to protect them from El-Zoghbi.
Ibrahim decides to send Afaf to collect money to help her family repay their debts to El-Zoghbi. Rashwan's men spring into action as soon as they learn about Afaf, who has arrived at the boarding house on Ibrahim's behalf. Ibrahim confesses his feelings for Afaf to Hussein, while the gang decides to follow her.
Ibrahim and Hussein decide to flee the village and hitch a ride with Atris in his transport vehicle. Atris offers them temporary shelter at his calf farm, where they begin working. Meanwhile, Atris's wife attempts to seduce Hussein.
Ibrahim El-Tayer takes advantage of a work trip with Atris to visit Naeema at her hotel. Rashwan discovers his whereabouts and orders his men to close in on him. Naeema decides to inform the police about Ibrahim to protect him from the gang. Meanwhile, Hussein rejects all of Dalal's attempts to seduce him, prompting Atris's wife to betray him to her husband.
After Ibrahim strikes Atris on the head with a shovel, Ibrahim and Hussein flee the farm. They come across Nahed, whose car has broken down. After repairing her car, she offers them a ride. Hussein calls to check on Yasmin, only to be told that she has died. Meanwhile, the police discover that Ibrahim and Hussein are in Alexandria.
Hussein is arrested after attempting to kidnap a little girl from her mother, while Ibrahim continues his escape alone. Following Nahed's recommendation, Ibrahim arrives at a villa to work as a cook. Nahed's manager, Salah Abou El-Nour, tests his cooking skills, but Ibrahim prepares an extremely terrible stew.
Ibrahim becomes suspicious of the cargo carried by Salah Abou El-Nour's guests and discovers that it consists of smuggled antiquities. Ibrahim and Hussein pretend to be police officers in front of Nahed to uncover the truth. They persuade her to help them expose Salah Abou El-Nour. Meanwhile, Hussein begins thinking about taking revenge on Sawsan.
Ibrahim urges Sawsan to flee before Hussein can kill her. However, Hussein is arrested before he can carry out his plan. He then meets an old friend named Hamama, who asks him for help. By coincidence, Hamama works for Rashwan.
Rashwan confronts Ibrahim, but Ibrahim manages to escape after being locked in Hamama's basement. Zainab tries to persuade Hussein to continue writing his novel, Belad El-Mahboub (The Land of the Beloved). Meanwhile, Ibrahim decides to report Rashwan to the authorities.
