The story follows a Japanese soldier stationed on the Southern Front who continues sending educational funds to a female student. After the war, amid the devastation of a defeated Japan, he encounters an abandoned child. The film features scenes of a bomb-damaged city, which Yasuhara secretly filmed inside the sets of Akira Kurosawa’s Madadayo (1993), shortly before they were dismantled. The film received the Grand Prix at the Business Jump / CINEMA Daisuki Video Awards and the Special Jury Prize in the Off Theater category at the 4th Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival.
