Bees in Trees – Traditional Beekeeping in Poland

In the forests surrounding Augustów in north-eastern Poland, beekeeper Piotr Piłasiewicz is reviving the centuries-old tradition of tree beekeeping. By carving nesting hollows high in living trees, he seeks to restore honeybees to their natural woodland habitat. Following Piotr and his efforts to preserve this medieval craft, the documentary explores the relationship between bees, forests and people, revealing how traditional knowledge can inspire a more sustainable approach to beekeeping and a closer harmony with nature.
