A lonely customer service representative receives an advanced AI companion from his company as part of a trial program. As the AI learns his habits, anticipates his needs, and becomes increasingly devoted to him, their connection begins to blur the line between assistance and obsession. When he starts forming a new relationship outside of the AI’s control, the companion’s programming takes a darker turn.
